With the publication in the Official Gazette of Decree Law 43\/2021, the obligation to file the declaration of beneficial owners for companies under Romanian law has been postponed as per Law 129 of 2019.<\/p>\n

The regulatory act analyzed today brings timely provisions regarding the submission of the declaration at the actual beneficiary provided for in Law No. 129\/2019 on combating money laundering. <\/p>\n

The deadline for submission of the declaration is extended to October 1, 2021.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

The declaration may be made by private signature or electronic signature and may be communicated to the Registrar of Companies electronically or by mail\/courier.<\/p>\n

The statement may also be made before the representative of the Business Registry Office or may be made before the notary or attested by a lawyer and may be communicated personally or through a representative.<\/p>\n

Please note: at this time the Registrar of Companies has developed an application through which you can submit the declaration with the real beneficiary directly on its website.<\/p>\n
