By Decree n. 33 published on 3\/30\/2020 <\/a>,<\/b> the Romanian government has specified the following measures to support Romanian-registered companies:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Bonus ranging from 5 percent to 10 percent for corporate tax and income tax for microenterprises due for the first quarter of 2020.<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/b><\/div>\n
The bonus is calculated on the income tax and microenterprise income tax due for the first quarter of 2020 if the taxpayer makes payment by the April 25, 2020 deadline.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The amount of bonuses is as follows:
\n– 5% for large taxpayers;
\n– 10% for medium and small taxpayers (including taxpayers paying income tax on microenterprises).<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The profit tax and income tax for microenterprise enterprises are determined by deducting the bonus of 5 percent or 10 percent, as appropriate, from the tax due.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This relief applies to corporate income tax due both to taxpayers who have a different tax year (if they have a due date from April 25 to June 25, 2020) and to taxpayers who fall under Law No. 170 of 2016 (specific tax). <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
For taxpayers subject to the profit tax, the calculated bonus will clearly be included in the annual tax return. We point out that the bonus does not apply to value-added tax ( of EU source) and employee contributions.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We await any changes or ministerial clarifications regarding how to highlight for reporting purposes in the quarterly tax return (100) the use of the tax bonus.<\/div>\n
