As of Jan. 1, 2014, the gross minimum wage is set at 850 lei monthly, for a work schedule of 168 average hours per month.

As of July 1, 2014, the gross minimum wage will increase to 900 lei monthly, for a work schedule of 168 average hours per month.

Penalties for violating the minimum gross wage level is sanctioned by a fine of 1,000 to 2,000 lei.
