Romania’s agricultural and agribusiness sector is surely set to become strategic for the country.

Precisely because of the importance of the sector, we felt it was important to provide an update on the current economic and financial situation:

  • The 2014-2020 national rural development program is close to approval;
  • According to recent statistics, Romanian farmland is the cheapest in Europe (on average, the cost per hectare is about $6,000);
  • a law aimed at ensuring the identity of Romanian agricultural producers will be enacted in November. The new certificates will have to contain information regarding the producer and area of production.

We are available for further clarification.
