Romania will grow 4 percent in 2016

The Ziarul Financiar recently reported on estimates made by the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), which forecasts Romania will see economic growth of 4 percent in 2016.

This growth would be the result of the mix of a reduction in the VAT rate (from 24 percent to 20 percent) and an increase in the statutory minimum wage (as of May 1, 2016).

The 4 percent forecast makes it possible to predict that Romania will be one of the European countries with the highest development index for the year 2016.
