Bucharest Champion of the Romanian Economy
According to the latest statistics study formalized by the European Union (Eurostat) in 2014 the gross domestic product per inhabitant in the Bucharest-Ilfov region was 17,700 euros, 2.3 times higher than the national average. Once again Bucharest is confirmed as the Champion of the Romanian Economy above the most developed cities in Romania that follow and in particular Cluj, Timisoara and Constanta. The net salary in 2015 was for Bucharest citizens significantly higher than the national average i.e. 2,644 lei per month (about 600 euros per month).
