The Ministry of Labor published the government’s draft decision to set the minimum gross base salary in the guaranteed country, proposing a 3 percent increase, from 2,230 lei per month to 2,300 lei per month (41 lei increase).
The minimum net monthly salary will be 1,386 lei.
ART.1 – (1) As of January 1, 2021, the minimum gross base salary per country guaranteed in payment, provided for in Article 164 par. (1) of Law No. 53/2003 –
The Labor Code, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, is set in money, not including bonuses and other supplements, at the amount of 2,300 lei per month, for normal working hours of an average of 169.333 hours per month, representing 13,583 lei/hour.
(2) Notwithstanding Paragraph (1), as of January 1, 2021, for personnel assigned to positions for which higher education is provided, with seniority of at least one year in higher education, the minimum gross base salary in the country guaranteed in pay , without including bonuses and other additions, is maintained at the amount of 2,350 lei per month, for normal working hours of 169,333 hours on average per month, or 13,878 lei/hour.
ART.2 – Pursuant to the provisions of Article 164 par. (1 ^ 2) of Law No. 53/2003, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, as of January 1, 2021, all rights and obligations under the law shall be determined by reference to the level of 2,300 lei of the minimum gross basic salary in the country guaranteed in payment
