A topical issue turns out to be the posting of workers from one EU member country to another when the social security and wage systems are not equal.
And so here looms on the horizon, with Directive 2018/957, a clampdown on European labor dumping and in particular European legislation with specific limits referring to posted workers. Another issue is the maximum duration of the posting, which will prospectively not exceed 18 months during which contributions will be paid in the country of origin while wages will be those of the host country. If the posting exceeds the time limit, the posted worker will have to be guaranteed all the conditions of the country where he does his work.
